Project Overview: Disturb VR is an innovative serious game designed to augment Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) sessions. Developed by the 'Future' team, the game has achieved significant acclaim, securing first place in the XR Challenge 2020 and being recognized as one of the top 30 standout projects of the year at FIAP.​​​​​​​

Objective: The aim of Disturb VR is to provide a complementary, interactive tool for therapists and patients engaged in CBT. By simulating scenarios within a controlled virtual space, the game assists in the process of understanding and coping with various psychological challenges.

Technologies and Platforms Used:
HTC Vive / Oculus Quest 2: Chosen for their leading-edge virtual reality capabilities, facilitating an immersive therapeutic experience.

My Contribution: In this multidisciplinary project, I undertook and colaborate a range of roles:
Financial Planning: Managed the budget, ensuring resources were allocated efficiently to maximize the project's success.
Digital Marketing: Developed and executed a marketing strategy to promote the game within the healthcare industry and to potential users.
Game Design: Collaborated in designing the game mechanics to align with therapeutic objectives, making the experience both engaging and beneficial.
Research: Conducted extensive research and liaised with healthcare professionals to ensure the game's therapeutic aspects were accurate and effective.
Programming: Took on the full responsibility for programming all VR interactions, creating a responsive and intuitive user experience.​​​​​​​

Achievements:
Award-Winning: Captured first place in the XR Challenge 2020.
Academic Recognition: Selected as one of the top 30 projects of the year at FIAP.

Challenges and Learning:
The project presented unique challenges, including the need to accurately simulate therapeutic scenarios and ensure that the virtual interactions were conducive to the CBT process. This required a deep understanding of both the technological tools and the psychological principles involved in CBT.
